IMPORTANT - Midland College faculty, staff and students can all obtain one free ticket or this show. However, there is one thing you need to know - FREE MC tickets can NOT be obtained through the website - you will need to call during business hours or stop by the Box Office at 2000 West Wadley (you can also get them at the door one hour prior to curtain). However, tickets are already on sale, and we have already opened the balcony to several performances so you will want to get your tickets NOW in order to reserve the best seats for the show.
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR - Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical started as a rock opera concept recording before its first staging on Broadway in 1971. The musical is based very loosely on the Gospels' accounts of the last week of Jesus' life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. It highlights political and interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus. It follows the form of a traditional passion play.
Support your MC Music and Drama faculty and students and see a great show - we hope to see you at the Yucca Theatre!
