Instructors needed for motorcycle safety training at MC

From Brenda Cordero
Associate Director, Community Programs CE

Motorcycle safety training has come to the Midland College campus! Community Programs Continuing Education has begun a partnership with Motorcycle Training Center of Dallas and is in need of instructors. The following is from MTC ...

MTC (Motorcycle Training Center) is looking for instructors (Rider Coaches) to teach the Basic Rider Course on the MC campus. MTC and the State of Texas will provide training and apprenticeships. You will become certified by the State of Texas to teach the class and MTC will schedule you and the students for the classes. The pay is great but the sense of giving back to the motorcycling community and helping others start out on the right foot is even better.

Successful applicants must have a clean criminal record, at least three years of history with a motorcycle endorsement on their license and a willingness to provide quality instruction and coaching to new riders within the approved curriculum. If this sounds interesting or you have questions about becoming a rider coach, please call our office at 1-800-410-4549 and ask to speak with the operations manager about becoming an RC! MTC has been teaching new riders in Midland since 2002!

For more information about the upcoming schedule of motorcycle safety courses at MC, you may contact Brenda Cordero at (432) 685-4724 or bcordero@midland.edu

  1. How exciting for you all! I remember my first experience learning from professional motorcycle instructors, it was so thrilling! I'm glad I now have my license and can operate a motorcycle safely.

    1. Thank you for the feedback, Roxanne, and for your testimony on motorcycle training. We continue to have a good response to our program here, at Midland College ... and GREAT stretches of open West Texas highway, once you're licensed and ready to head out.
