"Ritual Embodied" is an exhibition of artwork by Colby Jennings and Benjamin Sandness.

The work will invite the viewer to
experience the artist’s process and,
at times, even interact with it.
The exhibition will be on view in the McCormick Gallery from September 3rd- October 3rd.

"Ritual Embodied" is the product of long distance conceptual collaboration. Ritual as both concept and practice serves as the inspiration for the exhibition. Notions of rites and ritual are addressed through critical and creative discourse on the roles that craft, experience, memory, and gender play in their construction and perpetuation.

This exhibition includes works from each artist consisting of pieces created previously as well as new work inspired by conversation and collaboration between the artists. As is the nature of ritual, process is crucial.

The McCormick Gallery is located in Allison Fine Arts Building on the MC main campus, 3600 N. Garfield, Midland, Texas.
