Tall City Blues Fest, presented by Mazda of Midland/Odessa, announces the line-up of educational workshops scheduled for Saturday, July 26. The educational workshops are being held in conjunction with the 2014 Festival, which will be held July 25-27. All workshops will be located inside designated rooms at the Doubletree Hotel, and 100 percent of the registration proceeds are donated to provide scholarships for KIDS' College at MC.

Participants in this workshop will learn the fun, happy side of the
blues, how it has come full circle, including how it started and where
it is today. Taught by the 2014 International Blues Challenge Winner,
Castro Coleman, he will also show participants how the music of today
has evolved from the blues. This workshop will include both a
presentation, as well as an interactive follow-along jam.
What to Bring: A curiosity about the blues
Eight different workshops are included in this year’s offerings and are available to everyone - not just to Festival attendees. Most workshops are geared for adults and youth.
