Three cheers for the red, white and blue!

"Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth."
— George Washington

Earlier today on the campus of Your College, we enjoyed an early observance of Independence Day, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The children from Helen L. Greathouse Children's Center, joined by their teachers, family members, and MC staff and faculty, held their annual Red, White and Blue Parade around the center of our main campus, stopping at Hodge Carillon Tower for music and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

enjoy a photo album from that parade

All Midland College facilities will be closed July 3-6, in observance of Independence Day 2014. Our facilities re-open and classes resume on Monday, July 7. Whatever your observances, whatever your activities this long 4th-of-July holiday, have a great weekend, a fun weekend, and a safe weekend.
