"Today, the Lady Chaps Volleyball team helped Habitat for Humanity build affordable housing in Midland," reported KOSA-TV/CBS7, one of the media outlets to cover the Lady Chaps' service. "The Lady Chaps came out during the spring semester to make a difference; Habitat was proud to have them back."

"Midland Habitat for Humanity currently has 4 houses under construction in the 1300 block of E. Hamby and another 3 beginning on N. Jackson. Since 1991 Midland Habitat has helped more than 124 families obtain the security of a decent home of their own providing shelter for more than 500 individuals."
