MIDLAND, TEXAS - Craig Feuer knew he needed to go low in the final round of the Star Electric Midland Men’s City Championship.
Four shots behind leader Ryan Fioretti entering Sunday, Feuer targeted a 64 or 65 as the number to put him in contention for victory. Eighteen holes of well-managed golf on the Quail course at Hogan Park later, Feuer hit his goal, and posted a 5-under-par, 65.
As it turns out, the score wasn’t all that necessary. In the end, he took the event by five strokes over Jeremiah Luttrell and Fioretti, who posted a 74.
“I haven’t played a lot, but I’ve been playing pretty good when I do play,” Feuer said. “And it all just came together today” ...
