MC sophomore guard Quay King had, what most would call, a career night. In the Midland College Chaparral men’s basketball team's 139-73 victory over Southwest Texas Junior College, King from Atlanta, GA, set school records for three pointers made and attempted (16 for 32) to lead the all scorers with 48 points on the evening.

For King, it was his second impressive offensive performance in less than a week. A week prior he scored 37 points (10 of 13 3PT FG) in MC's 112-101 win over Tohono O'Odham Community College (AZ). For the season King is averaging 25.5 points-per-game in leading Midland College to its 5-1 record this season.
