From NR to #4 ... Lady Chap Softball makes dramatic entry into national poll

The Midland College Lady Chaparral softball team has finally cracked the NJCAA's national Women's Softball/Division 1 poll.

The previously unranked Lady Chaps made their first appearance of the year, occupying the #4 position in the March 18 edition of the poll. They were one of four teams nationwide making their first appearance this week.

The Lady Chaps are currently 29-0. They get back into conference play this Friday, March 20, when they take on Clarendon College at 1:00 p.m. in Clarendon, Texas. They are back on the road the next day (Saturday, March 21) when they face another WJCAC opponent, Frank Phillips College, at 1:00 p.m. in Borger, Texas.

Conference play continues at home next Friday, March 27, when they host Howard College at 1:00 p.m. at the Lady Chaparral Softball Field, on the east side of the Midland College main campus in Midland, Texas.
