Midland College softball coach, Tommy Ramos, is poised to surpass another coaching milestone with his 800th career coaching victory. Ramos, in his 18th year, is the only coach in program history. He currently sits at 797-258-3 (.754) all at Midland College where he began the program from scratch in 1998-99. He recorded an impressive 42-18 record in his inaugural season at the helm.

During Ramos’ 17+ years, the “Lady Chaps” have won nine WJCAC titles, appeared in 15 NJCAA Regional Tournaments and has advanced to four NJCAA National Fastpitch Tournaments (2001, 2002, 2003, 2008). Midland College is 28-10 this season and is not currently ranked in the most recent NJCAA poll.

Midland College’s next opponent is Luna Community College in Las Vegas, NM where the Lady Chaps will play a four game set with double-headers scheduled for Friday, April 8th and Saturday, April 9th.

Go Lady Chaps!
