Lady Chaps on 2016 All-WJCAC volleyball team

Congratulations to four members of the Midland College Lady Chap volleyball team who were named to the 2016 All-WJCAC team.

MC's All-Conference team members include:

Dana Lohrke, 6'0" sophomore, middle blocker from Bandera, TX, led the Lady Chaps with 255 total kills, tied for the lead in total blocks (78) and 17 digs;

Freshmen Ashley Vanfleet, a 5'9" outside hitter from Cedar City, UT who recorded 208 kills, 148 digs, 28 blocks and 24 service aces;

Breann Schreiber, a 5'9" outside hitter from Windthorst, TX recorded 218 kills, 184 digs, 33 blocks and 24 service aces;

and Lauren Hermes a 5'7" defensive specialist/libero who led the Lady Chaps with 304 digs and 62 assists this season.

The Lady Chaps finished the 2016 season with a 18-14 overall record, including 7-3 in conference (2nd place) and advanced to the second round of the NJCAA Region V West Volleyball Tournament.

Midland College's Dana Lohrke will also be nominated to the 2016 NJCAA All-America team for finishing in the top three in All-Conference votes (by the WJCAC coaches).
