The 2016 edition of "Holiday Evening at Midland College" was a huge success, drawing a large crowd and offering a little something for everyone. A lot of work went into preparing for this year's event, which featured the sights and the sounds, the tastes and the traditions of Christmas.

MC President Dr. Steve Thomas said, “Holiday Evening is Midland College’s ‘gift’ to the community. In addition to the popular events from previous years, we planned several new activities, including hayrides provided by our Students in Philanthropy club and a children’s craft corner courtesy of the MC Student Activities office. Most importantly, we received word that Santa would be our honored guest at the evening’s festivities, available to visit with children.”

Another attraction was the "Sounds of the Season" Concert presented by Midland College's Music Department. The evening's entertainment included the MC Jazz Ensemble being joined by carolers from the audience for the singing of several holiday favorites.
