Midland College (MC) is excited to announce that its popular Conversational Sign Language course will be offered once again this month.

The course is taught by Instructors who are employed at the Highland Council for the Deaf. The continuing Education courses will be taught on Tuesday evenings, January 17 - February 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

This past fall, we began partnering with the Highland Council for the Deaf to offer the Conversational Sign Language courses, and we had very favorable responses from our students," said Brenda Cordero, Associate Director of Community Programs Continuing Education at MC.

Cordero explained that the January 17 course will apply principles of sign language foundations and will focus on basic sign language to be used with people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing in all walks of life. Instruction will include sign language skills, including at least 200 vocabulary words used at work, home and school. Course fee is $100.
