The Lady Chap Softball program is teaming up with the MC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society in efforts to get donations of food, blankets, collars, and toys for the Lone Star Sanctuary of Midland.

Donations will be accepted until Friday, April 7th, in Room 134 of the Physical Education (PE) building and the Atrium of the Marie Hall Academic Building (MHAB), right in front of the lecture hall (Room 101) ... look for the bright blue kiddie pools.

On Saturday, April 8, the Midland College (MC) Lady Chaps softball team, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals invite two- and four-legged members of the community to a FREE lunch and softball game.

The tailgate party with burgers begins at 11:30 a.m. Then at 1:00 p.m., the Lady Chaps softball team will take on rivals Odessa College Lady Wranglers. All activities will take place at the Midland College Softball Field located behind the Fox Science Building on the main MC campus, 3600 N. Garfield.

Dogs should be kept leashed while on the MC campus. What's that? ... You don’t have a four-legged companion. Lone Star Sanctuary will be in attendance on Saturday as well with some furry friends for you to meet!

While at the softball game on April 8, you are also invited to enjoy family activities in Beal Plaza near the Scharbauer Student Center on the Midland College campus. Children, teens and adults will have an opportunity to participate in FREE college information sessions, tours, games and children’s activities. “See and say ‘sí’ to MC” at the college’s annual See/Sí MC event between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Please come and support such a great cause as well as cheer on the Lady Chaps Softball as they take on the Odessa College Wranglers!
