JC BASEBALL: Coleman reaches milestone, Chaps sweep EPCC

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Midland College baseball coach David Coleman picked up his 400th win at MC when his team run-ruled El Paso Community College in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

But you have to forgive Coleman if he wasn’t celebrating right away as his team was locked in a fight with the Tejanos in the second game and the No. 18-ranked Chaparrals were scuffling on the mound.

So after a close play at first base in the third inning, Coleman went out to give the umpire crew an earful, not enough to get thrown out, but enough to light a fire in his team ...

From Friday: Chaps roll past EPCC in doubleheader ...

The Chaps will be on the road for their next match when they meet the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds in a game starting at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
