Chap Golf finishes in fourth-place at national tournament

GARDEN CITY, KANSAS - The Midland College men's golf team was hoping to send longtime coach Delnor Poss out on a high note at the NJCAA National Golf Tournament but sometimes the challenges of the sport can be tough to overcome.

The Chaparrals couldn’t give Poss a national championship but they’ll send Poss out with a fourth-place finish with a four-round total of 1,183 after a tough final round. Rival Odessa College won the title as the Wranglers fired a 293 at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in the final round on Friday to finish with a 1,166 total, four shots ahead of Indian Hills Community College.
