On Wednesday, May 3, at 6:00 p.m. the Midland College (MC) Applied Technology division will host a specialized career fair focusing on jobs in the energy, auto, diesel and welding sectors. Employers such as Chevron, Key Energy, Hess Corporation, Warren Cat, Arch Rock, Air Compressor Solutions, Permian Resources, Universal Pressure Pumping, Summit Truck Group and Premier Truck Group will be represented.

The event takes place at the MC Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in the Elizabeth & Herb Blankinship Lecture Hall. The ATC is located at 3200 W. Cuthbert in Midland (corner of Midkiff and Cuthbert, next to Furr’s cafeteria).

“This is a great opportunity for our workforce education students to meet with employers and discover the many job opportunities available in the Permian Basin,” said MC Energy, Auto/Diesel program chair Pete Avalos. “Companies in the Permian Basin are looking for skilled technicians, and now is a great time to begin a career with an employer who supports training and career advancement.”

This event is FREE; participants are encouraged to bring their résumés and dress professionally.

Please contact Pete Avalos, (432) 681-6344, pavalos@midland.edu for additional information.
