MIDLAND, TEXAS - When the game is on the line, it’s easy to tell that Midland College softball pitcher Crystine “Noah” Kistner wants the ball in her hand.

The freshman from Cabazon, California, has delivered for the Lady Chaparrals (35-14), who begin NJCAA Region V West Tournament play at 3 p.m. Friday against Western Texas College (23-31) at Lubbock Christian University. This season, Kistner has developed into the ace of the staff, going 20-7 with one save and a 2.10 ERA. She has also struck out 215 batters (which ranks fourth in NJCAA) to just 49 walks ...
