On this Independence Day, Midland College (MC) celebrates six new naturalized citizens who recently graduated from the college’s 10-week citizenship class: Paola Castro, Antonio Eloy Jimenez, Julia Gabriela Gabino Martinez, Jorge Meza, Rachel Neikap and Feliciano Zuniga.

The students successfully completed MC’s course focusing on English as a second language, history and government, and then met all requirements for citizenship including a test of English and civics.

The course is held during the school year at the MC Cogdell Learning Center located at 201 W Florida Street in Midland. The program is coordinated by Luisa Nail. For more information about the program and MC’s English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, call the Cogdell Learning Center at (432) 684-5323.
